Creatives Now delivers a growing programme of filmmaking activity, creating opportunities for young people to develop skills in storytelling, production and collaborative practice. Supported by the Amazon Regional Creatives Fund, our film projects provide access to equipment, mentoring and industry insight, ensuring participants gain meaningful, real-world experience of the screen industries.

We work closely with local film professionals, as well as partners including Bolton Film Office and Bolton Film Festival, to connect young filmmakers with expertise rooted in the region. These partnerships strengthen pathways into the creative industries and highlight Bolton as an active and supportive location for film production.

Our filmmaking projects are delivered in conjunction with the National Saturday Club, expanding opportunities beyond the local context. Through this national network, participants access industry masterclasses and further professional experiences, culminating in the opportunity to screen their films at Somerset House on the Strand in London. This progression from local production to national platform reflects our commitment to ambition, access and high-quality creative development.
