About the event
You Unmake Myself invites participants into a bold, hands-on exploration of identity and community through large-scale expressive painting. Across this four-part Saturday workshop series, you’ll engage in both solo and collaborative mark-making, contributing to a shared canvas that evolves over time.
Each session offers space for reflection and self-expression. Participants are encouraged to explore their own stories, symbols and visual language while also engaging in moments of creative exchange with others. Whether you consider yourself an artist or simply curious, this is a welcoming, process-focused environment where materials are plentiful, gestures are big and connection happens through colour and movement.
Together, we’ll explore how personal expression shifts when it becomes part of something larger, how we make and unmake ourselves in relation to others, and how art can hold difference and commonality side by side.
No prior experience is needed. All materials provided. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
