About the event
This autumn, Creative Now is proud to present Emerging Voices, a powerful youth-led screening as part of the Bolton Film Festival’s dedicated youth strand. The event features an exciting collection of short films created by participants of our National Saturday Club Film Programme, developed over 25 weeks in partnership with local industry professionals.
Working closely with local creative producers and mentors from Sitcom Soldiers Studios and Title Productions, young people from across Bolton engaged in every stage of the filmmaking process from concept and scripting to directing, acting, and post-production. The programme, generously supported by Bolton Council, offered participants a hands-on opportunity to learn professional filmmaking skills while exploring personal themes around identity, representation, and community.
The screening will also premiere original work from our Summer Film School, where a new cohort of young creatives developed fresh stories and cinematic experiments during an intensive holiday programme.
